- Seeking an HR Generalist to performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to retirement, compensation, benefits, leaves, talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, and training. Manages talent with onboarding, performance management, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Assist with Performance Management by answering questions, running reports, and filing. Processes workers compensation claims, retirement withdrawals, and retirement submissions for benefit department. This assignment will be responsible for handling employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex or sensitive matters to appropriate personnel.
- Assists in recruiting by assisting with job postings, launching search committees, and onboarding new employees. Coordinate the transition of new faculty and staff with supervisors and managers. Verifies compliance with payroll data entry and personnel files
- Coordinates quarterly retirement committee meetings. We work with our financial advisors, and ERISA attorney to identify meeting dates, and notify all committee members well in advance.
- Responsible for managing the annual retirement plan audit and providing audit schedules and reports to our outside auditor.
- Responds to questions, concerns, and complaints from faculty and staffee relation investigative meetings by serving as a witness or note taker
- Processes adjunct and faculty contracts during hiring season
- Provides assistance with open enrollment for benefits. Respond to employee benefit questions as needed. Able to assist with billings and daily benefit processes as required
- Backs up student employment coordinator during heavy hiring periods
- May assist with sending wide mass emails communications.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Coordinates leaves of absence, including CFRA, FMLA, PDL, and workers' compensation

HR Generalist Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in human resources required
- 3+ years of experience in managing leaves of absences and workers compensation in California
- 3+ years of experience with HRIS systems in the areas of recruitment, performance management, benefits.
- 3 + years of experience conducting presentations and training preferred
- 3+ years of human resources experience working in Higher Education preferred
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or Law with an emphasis on human resources or social work.
