Job Description

As a key member of the Quality and Engineering management team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the business planning process and overseeing the achievement of strategic objectives. You will lead a multidisciplinary team to meet the plant's business goals, focusing on product quality management, new product introductions, continuous improvement of quality and engineering systems, efficient capital spending, and customer satisfaction. Your technical expertise and leadership will be vital to the Company, customers, and vendors in both engineering and quality functions.

Responsibilities:

Engineering Project Management: Oversee complex engineering projects, performing detailed analyses and problem-solving to secure FAA approval for new bearing repairs and designs. Compile comprehensive project proposals with all necessary documentation.

Team Leadership: Develop and lead the quality and engineering staff, fostering a high-performing team through goal setting, performance reviews, feedback, and talent management. Provide hands-on management for technical aspects of engineering and quality systems.

Quality System Development: Implement and enhance the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Ensure the facility maintains FAA/CAA approvals and complies with regulatory requirements.

Technical Data Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep of technical data supporting repairs.

Training Program Management: Develop and maintain an FAA-approved training program to ensure all associates receive adequate training.

Business and Customer Approvals: Manage technical approvals for new business and customers.

Supplier Certification: Approve and certify class A suppliers.

In-House Processing: Oversee the in-house processing of rollers, including OD grind and crown.

Customer Returns and Complaints: Handle the review, processing, and monitoring of all customer returns and complaints.

Mentorship: Mentor other associates, helping them to enhance their technical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Talent Management: Utilize Company Talent Management Processes to manage and develop talent, ensuring solid succession plans.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least ten years of experience in Aerospace/Bearing/Engineering/Quality/Repair Station MRO or a related area.

Strong written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to both large and small groups.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and dispute resolution tactics.

Innovative self-starter with a proactive approach to challenges.

Superior analytical and organizational skills.
