General DescriptionPRIMARY POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Under minimal supervision, troubleshoots and repairs complex electrical and mechanical equipment.
2. Establishes safe plan of action for troubleshooting and repairs, thanks to acquired knowledge and skills
and using all available documents such as electrical and mechanical drawings
3. Test and adjust equipment for proper functions before releasing to production
4. Perform preventive maintenance tasks as outlined in Work order instructions
5. Document repairs and preventive maintenance activities
6. Document usage of spare parts and trigger replenishment of stock
7. In coordination with process engineers, proceed with small alteration of mechanical and electrical
system to enhance safety or efficiency of equipment.
8. In coordination with engineering department, assist with new equipment installation.
9. Monitor equipment proper function via routine inspection and daily observation

COMPANY REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
* Position holder will have a high school diploma or equivalency.
* Ability to read, speak and comprehend the English language as determined through appropriate testing
* and/or the interview process.
* Mathematics and reasoning skills as determined through applicable aptitude and achievement tests.
* A position in areas, such as the maintenance department where specific skills such as electrical
* knowledge are required, will require documented evidence of competency in those skills.

Required Competencies
* Five or more years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
* Working knowledge of National Electric Code
* Two years of course work in electronic/electrical technology resulting in a certification or degree
* Ability to read electrical drawings
* Ability to read simple mechanical drawings and be familiar with measurement systems
* Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
* Ability to climb ladders and work in elevated spaces.
