Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Lake Forest, CA

Compensation: $25-30/hour

  • Must have 4+ years Warehouse/ logistics experience
  • Ability to be the layer between warehouse personnel and manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and manage our US warehouse inventory and warehouse staff located in Lake Forest, CA. The role involves ensuring efficient inventory management by setting appropriate inventory levels based on sales history and other data. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, with the potential for full-time employment after a successful temporary period.

General Accountabilities:

  • Supervise and guide warehouse staff in daily duties, such as shipping, receiving, and distribution in line with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
  • Plan inventory levels and forecast customer needs to maintain an optimal inventory balance.
  • Execute general warehouse duties including receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials.
  • Manage inventory using SAP and other software tools; update inventory software with received and shipped orders.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual inventory reconciliation and reporting.
  • Offload full container loads of incoming shipments.
  • Assist in inspecting incoming shipments as needed.
  • Provide shipping instructions, bill of ladings, and routing information to truckers.
  • Load processed, inspected products onto trucks for shipment to customers.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Coordinator team and Imports department regarding shipments and warehouse schedules.
  • Coordinate or oversee air/surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.
  • Develop and document standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or scrapping products or materials.
  • Plan and implement facility modifications or expansions such as changes in space allocation or structural design as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe warehouse free from obstructions, hazardous materials, and potential dangers.
  • Perform quarterly inventory cycle counts for all stock items.
  • Maintain a daily safety log for forklift and other warehouse equipment.
  • Conduct quarterly safety routines, checking all exits, fire extinguishers, hazards, and potential dangers.

Job Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems, specifically SAP.
  • Proven experience in leading and supervising warehouse staff.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and practices within a warehouse setting.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to lift and move heavy items as part of regular warehouse duties.
