Business Analyst - Sales and Use Tax Analyst

Location: Austin, TX 78703 - hybrid schedule

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Pay: $40 - $50/hr

Duration: Through end of July 2024 with the possibility of being extended

An industry leading grocer is seeking a Business Analyst - Sales and Use Tax Contractor to join their team. This individual will be responsible for reviewing and verifying Sales Tax from in-store transactions, as well as Use Tax from Vendors.

Job Duties:

· Research credits confirm accuracy and usability

· Sales and Use Tax Reporting and Compliance

· Sales Tax Research

· Taxability Analysis

· Assist with internal audit ensuring sales taxes are collected appropriately

· Conduct Taxability Research meeting internal and external requests

· Perform special projects, as necessary

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

· 2+ years of Sales and Use Tax experience within a retail environment

· Experience with Workday Financial and Coupa a plus

· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables / V lookups)

· Ability to effectively communicate with other accounting and tax personnel
