We are currently looking for a Production Specialist to join our amazing clients in Natomas, CA.

*This position would require experience with Print and Direct Mail required.
Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour.

JOB OVERVIEW:
Seeking a talented and detail-focused individual to fill a key role within the Prepress team for a leading company in the print production sector located in Natomas. The chosen candidate will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and quality of files prepared for print, including design tasks for various print pieces and internal documentation as requested.
This position demands a high level of proficiency in all prepress applications, requiring the individual to work with digital, inkjet, and offset printing setups. The role emphasizes the importance of meticulous attention to detail and accuracy for successful job execution, involving quality control of color printing and necessary corrections.
The ideal candidate will exhibit a blend of creative and technical skills, aimed at ensuring excellence in the setup of print and variable files.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Deep understanding of industry standards and unspoken expectations in prepress projects.
* Expertise in managing complex setup requirements, including variable color images, dynamic content, and custom formatting.
* High proficiency in departmental software and technologies.
* Skills in GREP Styles and Actions setup for variable content in Pitstop and Photoshop.
* Responsibility for training new hires and providing documentation.
* Commitment to best practices for operational efficiency and accuracy.
* Continuous improvement through the implementation of necessary changes.
* Expertise in troubleshooting and researching solutions for complex issues.
* Mastery of color management and matching techniques.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
* A high school diploma is required, with a preference for a bachelor's degree in Visual Communications or a related field.
* At least five years of experience dealing with print files.
* A minimum of three years of experience in Prepress, specifically with InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with familiarity across both PC and MAC platforms.
* Demonstrated ability in color correction and understanding the full cycle of the printing process.
* Ability to work both in a team setting and independently.
